This patch contains perl compiled on Red Hat 9 (RH9) and Red Hat Enteprise Linux 3 (RHEL 3). This patch will only update perl on RH9 or newer releases. Unless the host is RH9 it will install RHEL 3. The installation will unpack the new perl in a new location so if there is problems the following change will revert to the old perl. rm /etc/opt/openit/perl ln -s /opt/openit/libexec/i386-unknown-linux/bin/perl /etc/opt/openit/perl
Unpack tar file in e.g /tmp/patch on the Open iT host. Do the following as root: cd /tmp/patch ./patch.pl
