Description

The Perl daemons are sometimes hanging for unknown reasons.
This patch updates the network transfer of files to have a timeout.
The Perl server is affected. The timeout will be set by the patch to
be 3600 seconds, i.e. one hour. On timeout the daemon will exit.

The timeout can be changed by setting:

NETWORK_TIMEOUT <seconds>

in /etc/opt/openit/openit.cfg and restart the server.

Note that if the client is running on the same machine, the timeout
will also affect the client.

Installation

Unpack tar file in e.g /tmp/patch on the Open iT host. Do the following as root:

	cd /tmp/patch
	./patch.pl
